For Arts Therapy Practitioners

Toolbox: Creative Arts Therapists Meetup

Join us on the third Friday of every month for a creative, inspiring and supportive space where we come together to share art processes, techniques, materials and ideas. Whether you're looking to re-energize your practice or connect with fellow therapists, Toolbox is designed to spark creativity, foster peer support and help you expand your therapeutic arts toolkit.

Event Details:

  • When: Third Friday of each month, 11am-1pm

  • Cost: $35

  • Includes: Morning tea & basic art materials

What Toolbox is All About:

  • Sharing Inspiration: Bring and share creative ideas (big or small), art materials, or therapeutic techniques that have sparked your practice. We welcome a variety of modalities.

  • Exploring New Approaches: Discover fresh ways to work with a diverse range of clients, and expand your creative toolset.

  • Building Community: Connect with other creative arts therapists in a safe, supportive and collaborative environment. Build new connections that may help support you in your practice.

  • Tips and Resources: Exchange tips on art materials, tools and where to source them, plus other useful arts therapy resources.

  • Enjoying the Moment: Savor a relaxing morning with tasty treats, good company and the occasional laugh.

How It Works:

This is a peer-driven, skill-sharing group where we encourage participants to bring 1-2 creative arts processes, materials or ideas to share. Whether it’s a new technique, a favourite tool or a creative approach you’re passionate about, your contribution will help enrich the group experience. While we might not have time for everyone to share in each session, collectively, our contributions will foster a vibrant and dynamic space.

Please Note:
This group is not intended to be supervision. It’s a casual, drop-in event—no commitment required. Just bring your creativity and your enthusiasm to share.

Basic art materials and morning tea will be provided. Come ready to learn, connect and get inspired!
