NDIS and Art Therapy
Art Therapy services provided by Seedpod Creative Arts Studio fall under Improved Daily Living- Therapy Supports. If you have funding available in your plan for improved daily living, please feel free to get in touch, and we can chat on how I can best support you.
As a qualified Creative Arts Therapist (AThR) I am able to offer individual art therapy sessions to all plan managed and self-managed clients. Art therapy supports individuals and groups to build capacity and independence for community participation and improvement in people’s daily lives. It helps develop personal agency and can increase emotional regulation and psychosocial functioning.
Creative Arts Therapy is listed as an Allied Health Intervention and recognised by the Quality and Safeguards commission. As a professional member with the Australian, New Zealand, and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA) I strive to uphold quality standards whilst working alongside NDIS clients as they move towards achieving their NDIS goals. I enjoy working as part of care teams and am able to write comprehensive NDIS reports and support letters, whilst providing evidence of the benefits of Arts Therapy to meet NDIS requirements.
Note: Seedpod Creative Arts Studio is upstairs, so unfortunately has limited capacity for those with limited physical abilities. If you feel drawn to my services let’s talk. Perhaps outreach (i.e. me coming to you) could be a possibility. Currently I am available for outreach within 20mins of Northcote.
